To be clear, I am not arguing that Confederate statues/monuments shouldn't be removed.

I am arguing that removing them won't solve America's problems in the way that the current fervor for removing them would have the majority of us to believe.

For whatever reason, Confederates were not duly humbled by the shame of defeat as Germany's Nazi's were. The Confederate spirit lives on. That -- that spirit -- is the real problem.
